Pantry Pampering

Scary or serene? Serene! (although Kim does looks pretty scary over there on the right).  Bridget showed us how to get a spa treatment on a budget! Everything you need for a pampering night at home can be found in your own pantry.  She made us 2 yummy face masks (literally yummy- here's Kim dipping her chocolate chip scone into one of the masks).

One was Chocolate/Honey and the other Avacoado/Banana. Try out the recipes below- you'll love them.

Chocolate Heavy Cream Facial Mask
1/3 cup cocoa powder
3 tablespoons heavy cream
1/4 cup honey

Cocoa: contains antioxidants which prevent or repair damage to the skin.
Honey: good for oily or blemished skin because of it’s anti-microbial properties that inhibit the growth of some bacteria

Banana-Avacado Mask
1/2 over-ripe banana
1/2 over-ripe avacado
2 Tbsp unflavored full-fat yogurt
1 tsp olive oil

Bananas: rich in potassium & make a great moisturizer for your hair and skin.
Avocados: high in vitamins & enzymes.

Throw in a little Enya, candles and wine and we did not want to go home. CHEERS!

Sweatin like oldies

Phewwwww- Emily really gave us a workout! That Latin Fusion is fun stuff. I was so impressed with all of us for hanging in there for as long as we did - especially Tanya at 7 months pregnant!

Check out those sexy leg warmers!

Most of all Emily is a fabulous instructor! Check out this action shot...

(This is right before I peed my pants. After 3 kids my bladder can't handle those moves while laughing at the same time. Sad but true.)

And we topped it off with some delicious refreshing smoothies! Thanks Emily :)

Cheers!

and cappuccinos and chai! Thanks to our lovely host Christi, we had backstage VIP access to Burlap and Bean! It was so fun to have our favorite coffee shop all to ourselves and learn how to make our favorite drinks. I have to say - we made pretty good baristas. Not sure if Christi would agree BUT we learned just enough to make ourselves some tasty treats.

Lattes and boardgames - the perfect fall activity - who could ask for anything better?! Here are some highlights:

And here we are in action...

The Kick-off

It's official - the kick-off soiree was held in my Clubhouse (AKA- the studio). It was loads of fun. We began the night with some yummy chocolate fondue and ended with some fabulous earrings!! Yes - thats right! Jewelry Making 101.

Check out the beautiful earrings below. We've got some fast learners!

And what Club is complete without a charm bracelet?! Thats right ladies...each time you learn something new you get to add a corresponding charm to your bracelet. I know, some of you are thinking..."what is this, girl scouts?" but I say- why not?!

Cheers!

Not Just any Club

It's that time of year...time to say good-bye to summer and hello to some routine. So I started a Club. I know - you are all thinking "but Jill, you don't read". But, hey, I'm not talking about your run-of-the-mill Book Club here. There are all sorts of Clubs out there!

The big idea is we all get together, drink some tasty drinks, eat some yummy food and learn something new :) Each time someone different hosts and teaches us something. Take for instance...lap dancing by Kim ;) Hahaha.

I'm so excited to commence this little ol' Club, officially called "Something Old, Something New". Let the fun begin!
